Mine to Own

Defined by my condition and the parts I own

Dreaming in one-part reality two-part fiction

Thinking more about how less I care

Growth is starting to give way to decay

Friends who are sad don’t want to listen

A message lost in a hall of blabber

Feel good transactions spin a big wheel

Clean clothes tumble around dirty water

I must fund the bubble to keep it afloat

Cut the weight so the mirror can smile back

To the future I go – One day at a time
